Chancel Choir

YOU are invited to join Chancel Choir! Rehearsals are open to students in High School or College, and adults of any age!  Questions?  Contact Sharon, 816.523.1602, x112.

Wednesday Evening Rehearsals

Put Wednesday evenings on your calendar for weekly Chancel Choir rehearsals. We meet from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Choir Room (lower level). Have you been away from the choir for a while? Love to sing but don’t know anyone? We welcome each one of you! Come and join us as we make music to serve the Lord with joyful hearts and voices.  Join us for rehearsals! Haven’t plugged in to the music ministry before? Call Sharon Hettinger at (816) 523-1602, x112, click here to sign up on our website, or email Sharon.

St. Andrew's Chancel Choir Section Leaders

Many of you have met Allison Fikejs, soprano, as she’s been among us since last year on St. Andrew’s Day, when she came to visit St. Andrew’s with Mark Burroughs, tenor, her husband. Mark and Allison have many years of singing experience together and separately, and have already impacted the music ministry here at St. Andrew’s. They are working hard to recruit new choral prospects and you’ll enjoy getting to know them! Allison keeps busy in her new job as interior designer and Mark works for AFLAC.

Christina Cutcliffe, alto, and her husband, Brad Cutcliffe, bass, have been singing in a sister parish for the past several years (Good Shepherd) and will join us this fall. Christina works at UMKC as the director of recruitment for the Henry W. Bloch School of Business and Public Administration. Brad earned his Ph.D. in Music [composition], and is composer in-residence for Northland Symphony Orchestra, and also is adjunct instructor and guest lecturer for Maple Woods Community College.

Summer Choir

Like to sing but cannot make a commitment to
a weekly choir rehearsal?

Are you a junior-high or high-school student, or a college student back in town—and want to re-connect or be involved musically?

Have we got the answer for YOU! St. Andrew’s Summer Choir.

The Choir sings for all Sunday liturgies in the summer, simply come to our SUNDAY morning rehearsal to sing that day. If you are able to participate in the 8 a.m. liturgy, please arrive in the choir room at 7:25 a.m. for rehearsal and warm-up. If you are able to participate in the 10:15 liturgy, please arrive at 9:30 a.m. for rehearsal and warm-up. And, you’re always welcome to participate in both liturgies! The anthems will be quite familiar, or easy enough to learn that day. Questions? Contact Sharon Hettinger, (816) 523-1602, ext. 112.

St. Andrew's Ringers

This group, for college students and older, meets on Thursday evenings, 7-8 p.m., beginning September 6. If you read music and like teamwork….this is the place for you! Never rung bells before?  It’s quite straightforward, and we’ll start you out with just two notes.  Instruction provided.  Call Sharon Hettinger at (816) 523-1602, x112, click here to sign up on our website, or email Sharon.
